Midi expression with alyseum midi patch bay

Hi ,

I’ve connected my new midi expression IO into my midi patch bay by alyseum AL-88c as this will allow me to use my pedals with any midi unit I set up through the midi patch bay. My connection by design is to have the midi out from the midi expression IO routed through the patch bay to the midi in of any midi device that responds to CC commands from the pedals, correct? In that connection set up would it be wise to not even connect the midi IN on the expression IO to anything? If I connect the same keyboard midi out into the midi expression IO that the in is going to wouldn’t I risk creating a midi loop which would just potentially create two same note on events since anything going to the expressions midi in just get passed on to the out?

From the setup you described, there's no reason to connect anything to the MIDi in of the iO.
