MIDI Expression 2.8.2 BETA is now available
This release brings a few new features that have been requested in the forums over the past year. Unfortunately, save for a few important bug fixes, legacy MIDI Expression devices (mini-b USB connectors) won't see any of these new features.
Here's a quick list:
Real-time dynamic transformations are also possible using pedals. Switch type pedals can be used to turn Transformer Instances on or off, increment / decrement the MIDI Channel. Expression type pedals can be used set the MIDI Channel or the velocity (value 3) of messages.
Dual CC Toggle Mode
In previous versions, DualCC mode would always send CC1 with a value of 127 followed immediately with value 0 when short pressed. Similarly CC2 with a value of 127 followed by value 0 when long pressed. In this release you can also use the toggle control, so that short pressing toggles CC1 between values 127 and 0, and long pressing toggles CC2 between values 127 and 0. Parameter feedback is also implemented for both CCs to ensure sync with your host sequencer.
Adjustable Maximum MIDI resolution
The maximum MIDI resolution for a single input of a MIDI Expression in the past was fixed at 125 values / second. With this release, you have more options. You can set the maximum resolution for individual inputs to Low (50 values / second), Normal (125 values / second), High (250 values / second), or Max (500 values / second).
