midiexpression (i/o) without using the MIDI DIN?

Hi i have just receive the midi expression dongle , that is awesome and it works really fine.

I am also interested about the midiexpression (i/o).Is it possible to use it as well in usb (like the regulars midiexpression), or it works only with the MIDI DIN ?
