Can one use two midi interfaces in one recording session at the same time?

The first interface an Emagic AMT 8 and the other the Audiofront MIDI expression with the 3 jacks and one MIDI in and out?

You certainly can. You can have any number of MIDI devices. Logic will merge the MIDI data from all of them by default.
