Does anyone know if it's possible to assign an expression pedal connected via a MIDI Expression Quattro to control a volume fader in Pro Tools on Mac?
I'm using a pedal to control the volume of an instance of Kontakt, and it works fine to adjust the tiny built-in volume slider in the plugin. But for my purposes, it would be HUGELY helpful to be able to see the exact decibel value that the pedal is setting things to. So for me, it would be awesome to be able to map the pedal directly to the volume fader of an instrument track (or aux track) in the software.
Any advice is much appreciated!

Re: control a volume fader in Pro Tools with an expression pedal?
Pro Tools does not provide a way for generic MIDI devices to function as control surfaces. There is a lot of frustration in the industry as to how slowly Avid is moving to support 3rd part devices. As a work around, I'm currently looking into the possibility of allowing the MIDI Expression to emulate a 'HUI' control surface. I need to do a lot of R&D in this regards, but hopefully I'll have something by the end of a summer.

Is the PC-1600 still supported as a control surface for Pro Tools?
