My possible use case(s) for the expression io (though I might possibly just get the original midi expression, depending on the answer)

1. Connecting a GFP-3 directly to my PC, which uses a 6-pin XLR plug
2. Connecting a DP-10 directly to my PC, which just uses TRS(?) or whatever it's called\

I see that the MIDI expression io has what looks like 6-pin XLR in and out, but I want to make sure it can be used in the way I'm thinking of using it.

The GFP-3 is not compatible, at least not without rewiring its connector. The large diameter ports on the iO are MIDI in and out. The DP-10 will work fine.
