Roland EV5 pedal doesn't work
Roland EV5 pedal doesn't work
I am trying to use this pedal with midi expression. It is recognised in the Mac midi window and shows in the midi expression window as an expression pedal but there is no data displayed. I am using this with Hauptwerk virtual organ program and MacBook Pro retina. Thank you for your help
Re: Roland EV5 pedal doesn't work
You're saying that you move the pedal and it doesn't move in the MIDI Expression Control editor? What firmware version are you using?
Re: Roland EV5 pedal doesn't work
Midi expression Version 2.1.0.8. Firmware Version 1.0.0.0.
The pedal operates my Hauptwerk software but in the Midi Express window there are no icons or drop downs to change channels etc. also there is no adjustment for pedal dynamic curve. - just an empty window and this is what I would like to change.
Thank you for your reply

Re: Roland EV5 pedal doesn't work
There's an issue with your firmware. Try manually updating it using the link posted in this thread.

Re: Roland EV5 pedal doesn't work
Thanks for the reply, I updated using the link you supplied but the problem is at still there also in the Midi Expression window the version and firmware still read the same as before.
This is how I updated on my Mac.
Logged out of Midi Expression
Connected midi expression device to the USB
Selected yellow and pressed return.
The teensy app activated and indicated success.
Then I attached the EV5 for a test but the problem is not resolved.
I have two midi expression units so did the same procedure selecting blue this time - result is the same.

Re: Roland EV5 pedal doesn't work
Okay. Now go to the downloads and install that latest beta version.
