If I use MIDI Expression as a VST Effect to control a CC such as volume in Cantabile Performer 2.0, then when I try to change to a different setup ("session" in Cantabile) or close the Cantabile application, it hangs, and I have to close and restart Cantabile.
I have narrowed it down to sessions that use ExpressionVST, and only those sessions.
I also tried to use MIDI Expression as a VST Effect in a trial version Brainspawn Forte 3, just to confirm that the problem is with MIDI Expression and not the host application, and I got the same results. It would hang when trying to close the application or change to a different patch.
Is anyone else experiencing similar behavior? Is there anything I can do about this?

I will investigate. Can you confirm your software / firmware version? Also, there's a new version of the control app to be released soon and I made extensive stability improvements to the VST version. Are you interested in having a look at the BETA version?

Re: Host app hangs when using ExpressionVST
My version is 1.1.1.1, and the Firmware version is 1.1.1.2.
A couple more random notes:
- Since I am running 64-bit everything, my preference is to use the 64-bit VST within my host app, which is a 64-bit application with 64-bit plugins.
- I have a little better luck if I use Jbridge in conjunction with the 32-bit VST. I don't get the hanging behavior. But the downside is that an entire CPU core is running at 100% using this approach, which is obviously not good for long periods of time.
I would be very interested in trying a beta version that attempts to address this stability or hanging of the VST.

I've given you access to the BETA downloads and BETA forum. You'll see the new firmware / control application in the downloads section when you are logged in. Please don't discuss the BETA here,

A little update...
This is a confirmed bug for the VST version of the control application on Windows. The issue is fixed in the soon to be released version 2 of the plugin.
