Plugin for Quattro
Plugin for Quattro
Does the Plugin version of the MIDI Expression Editor support the Quattro? When I bring it up in Live, I don't see the same input selectors that I see on the stand alone version. How do I use the plugin with the Quattro?
Re: Plugin for Quattro
This is most likely a firmware or software bug. I'll investigate. Are you on osx or Windows?

Re: Plugin for Quattro
OSX. 10.9.5 The only app I've checked it in is Ableton Live 9.2.2. It appears that the plugin doesn't see the device itself, either, as I don't see the image of a footpedal connected and I'm not able to calibrate, etc. Launching the stand alone app does see the attached pedals. Ableton Live does see input from the footpedals connected to the Quattro.
Re: Plugin for Quattro
I just posted a new beta. Give that a try.
Re: Plugin for Quattro
I have only give in a very brief test, but I can confirm that the Quattro is seen by the plugin in Ableton Live. I can set and use all 4 of my pedal inputs. The only small odd thing that happened is that I had to manually click on each of the 4 "slots" to get the plugin to recognize the devices (all volume pedals) which were connected.
I have not yet done any testing of multiple presets.

Are you using the VST or AU version?vanceg wrote:I have only give in a very brief test, but I can confirm that the Quattro is seen by the plugin in Ableton Live. The next update will focus on improving the plugin version. I've got some cool things planned. Specifically inputs will need to be activated when first instantiating the plugin, allowing the user to decide which inputs to override (currently all inputs and devices are automatically overridden). This would allow you to (for example) just inject a preset into a single input of the Quattro, and leave the others configured as normal. I'll do a tutorial via when it's all good to go.

Re: Plugin for Quattro
I was using the AU version but I can check the VST version when I come back from this short tour (1 week).
Being able to use AU or VST presets would be really nice way to manage the messages generated by the MIDI Expression. I like your idea of just altering some of the settings at any given time as well.

Re: Plugin for Quattro
I've spent the last week and half working on the plugin version of the Control Application. Here's where I'm at:
Regards,
Rob
- Implemented selective input configuration
- Implemented use of host presets
- Implemented value persistence
- Improved feedback between Standalone and Plugin version (they can now be used at the same time)
- Fixed the window resize function
- Various other bug fixes

Rob

I've just finished putting together a little video to demonstrate the plugin version of the Control Application.
