Single Expression Pedal- Control cc1 & cc11 Simultaneously

Post by DanE »

Hey Everyone,

I assume this is a transformer/duplicate question. Many composers like to simultaneously ride cc1(dynamics) & cc11(expression) on strings, brass, etc. Often this is achieved with a midi fader controller, riding 2 different faders for each cc.

Can midiexpression achieve this effect with a single expression pedal? Ideally i'd like to set cc1 as a linear curve & cc11 to a shelf curve of some sort. I've read the manual and I'm striking out. Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks to Rob for making such a useful little device!

look into software called osculator https://osculator.net took me a while to get a grasp, and still only barely get it, but i have done many fancy things with different pedals, including sending out two different cc etc. pretty amazing stuff.

You can use the transformer for that purpose, although you won't be able to adjust the curve separately.
