Hi Rob,
I was wondering if both the Quattro and the iO require powering from a USB charger to run in standalone mode?
More specifically, I wanted to connect a combination of Quattros and iOs running into an iConnectivity iConnect Midi4+. The device has a USB 2.0 which supplies 500 mA, is this enough?
Thank you,
Asaf

Re: Powering the Devices
The Quattro can't really be used in standalone mode as it lacks MIDI Ports. It can only send MIDI through it's USB port. The iO on the other hand has full sized MIDI in and out ports, so it doesn't need to use it's USB connection to send MIDI (that's what is meant by standalone mode)zoe.asaf@gmail.com wrote:I was wondering if both the Quattro and the iO require powering from a USB charger to run in standalone mode?
Easily. MIDI Expression devices consume very little power (about 27 mA). From what I've read, the iConnect supports up to 8 USB MIDI devices, so you could connect a combination of 8 MIDI Expression devices via a powered USB hub.zoe.asaf@gmail.com wrote:More specifically, I wanted to connect a combination of Quattros and iOs running into an iConnectivity iConnect Midi4+. Also, the iConnect also has 4 pairs of MIDI DIN ports. By daisy-chaining iOs (the MIDI out of one device is connected to the MIDI in of another), you could connect any number of them.
Regards,
Rob

Re: Powering the Devices
I'm trying to order multiple iOs but it's only letting me do one at a time (it's going straight to the checkout rather than cart).
The Quattros are working ok though and sending me to the cart.
Any ideas?
