A Way To Use Footswitch to auto increment the transformer Value 1

Post by joshebosh »

Hey Rod,

So I spent quite a bit of time tinkering trying to find a way to do this...
I'm trying to auto increment transformer Value 1 by a +2, +4, +8 value

Constraints:
1. The ME Transformer MIDI Channel +/- wont work, because FL Studio can only accept a single channel when mimicking launch pad functionality.
2. The Launch Pad functionality for Live Performance operates on Tracks 1-10, assigning C0-B1... C1-B1... C2-B2...
3. Using the ME Transformer I seem to be able to only turn it on off, giving me ability to reach the Red or Green patterns, not the blue ones, because I'm unable to auto increment the Value 1

Do you have an alternative suggestion for how to make ME auto increment the Transform Value one when I hit the foot switch?
Or would this be a feature request?

At the moment, the only solution is to use the transformer 'Transpose'.

Transformer Transpose

You press the pedal, and then send a MIDI Note to the MIDI Expression. If you send Middle C (60), value 1 is set to zero. Send D (62) and the value is set to +2. Could that work for you?

Well, It looks like that could work, but no matter which key i hit on the keyboard, the Value 1 always jumps to 67 and nothing else...
any ideas on that?

I'll test to make sure it's working properly and get back to you.

well, after tinkering it's got just to be a display update issue...

I acutally got the outcome you specified working great... I am actually able to do the transpose...

Regarding the display update issue, On the transform page, where you have 1, 2, 3... If make a transpose, it jumps to 67, but then I click the 2, then back to 1, now to display updates and Value 1 shows the true expected value... So it's just UI bug?

Other than that I can totally work with this solution... right now my four pedals can access 13 patterns each, for a total of 52 patterns, which totally rocks, more than enough to get me started... Thanks for the tip!

Good to hear it's just a display issue--should be an easy software fix. If the problem is in the firmware, it's going to be a while before I can fix it because I'm in the process of updating by firmware build tools.

There were a few issues there, 2 in the control application, and one in the firmware. They are all fixed for the next build.
