I don't use Sonar, but I downloaded the demo and from what I can tell, this is what you need to do.

1. Menu->Edit->Preferences Enable the MIDI Expression input and output ports.

2. Right click on a fader, knob, or button in Sonar and select remote control.

3. Select learn and then move your pedal.

That should be all you need to do. If you want to record your changes, you will be need to have the ''Read' and Write' automation buttons enabled on the track.

I figured out what was wrong. I had the input on my MIDI track set to my digital piano. Once I changed the input to "all inputs" it recognized the foot pedal and MIDI expression!

I've been trying it out and I simply love MIDI Expression! Thanks for everything!
