Is this running native? I'd love to get a build of this to test. I'm currently using a windows VM on my debian desktop to use the windows build.

Yes it is. I'll probably have a production build ready in a week. I'll post a link here when it's ready.

I think it's ready for some testing. This is my first Linux app some chances are there will be a few issues. Let me know if you run into any.

Known Issues:
Resizing the window is messy.

How to install:
1. Download and extract the zip file.
2. Open a terminal on MIDI_Expression_Setup
3. Type ./install.sh

I fixed a crash after updating firmware and closing the application. I didn't update the build number. If you already download and installed, you should do so again.

It worked straight away for me on Debian unstable. I was able to use it to update my firmware without issue, something that has been awkward when using the Windows VM.

There is a weird display issue when it first launches, but it clears up after clicking on other device icons and then back to the previous device. I'm using KDE Plasma on xorg if that is of any use.

So far I've I tested adjusting my expression pedal settings, foot switch settings, creating a snapshot, and updating firmware. Everything just works.

Great to hear everything is working well. Do you think you can get me a screenshot of the issue you are seeing at startup?

Ok, these are the steps to get this display on my system consistently:

1. Connect the MIDIExpressionIO via USB / make sure it is powered up
2. Start the midiExpression application

Then, to get it to display correctly just click on any of the icons in the application. If I do not have the device connected and start the midiExpression application first then I do not see this issue and the application displays correctly.
