MIDI Expression + Electribe s2 ... how ?

I'm looking at using the single input MIDI Expression to control an electribe S2 - to simply stop a sequence by pressing on a piano pedal, sending the right CC message.

I'm not sure how to connect the two though : the output of the expression is USB B s2 has MIDI input. I'm guessing I would need a USB interface, and they normally have a Usb B connector too ?

Piano pedal ---> Midi Expression
That's easy, the piano pedal has a jack out

Midi expression (usb B) --?--> (Midi) Electribe s2
I don't think such a cable exists

Would just buying a USB B/A converter to the trick to connect the MIDI Expression to a MIDI INterface ? Do I really have to go via an interface to use it ? Kinda defeats the point of having a small portable device

I think the only solution is a MIDI Expression iO which has full-size MIDI in / out ports.
