Alesis Surge

Hello, I have an Alesis surge mesh kit (similar to Nitro) and I was trying the DSP trigger, I want to use the choke of my cymbals and is curious because when I use the choke, the DSP turns on a yellow light, that means it can read that signal, so, there is a way to configure? My VST drums can't read them and in the EZdrummer is curious because can read it but it changes my cymbal sound like I'm using the choke all the time.
