Translationride cymbal and toms don't work

I have an Edrumin 8 and 4 connected together. I am using trs insert cables to connect toms to one input. I am using same cable to connect my Roland 3 zone ride. The 2 "rack" toms work correctly, but the "floor" toms do not. Usually the 1st tom either doesn't work or they both want to trigger the same thing (even if I change note). The ride cymbal, if it works at all, stops working and shows compatibility issue if I change trigger type to Roland 3 zone cymbal. I am using Alesis surge mesh kit with Roland hi hats and ride. Edrumin (no module) straight to laptop with EZdrummer 64bit.
