Is it safe if i left the midi Expression IO plugged to a usb hub all the time? i.e. keeping it turned on all the time?

do you recommend any hardware (if it is existed) to assign sysex midi messages instead?

I need to assign each expression pedal with values ranging from 3 bytes up to 11 bytes.
Is it possible? if yes, how can I assign it?

Can I assign any sysex message address to each expression pedal individually?
Is there a user manual for this product?
