Re: Edrumin compatibie with drum-tec pro 3 pads?

I've got drum-tec's previous snare, the single head sensor version with a 3 ply head. Edrumin seems to track hit position ok. Is this an anomaly multi-sensor?

It would be great if Drum-tec sent you a Pro 3 snare for compatibility testing.

thanks!

Edrumin compatibie with drum-tec pro 3 pads?

Is edrumin compatible with the new drum-tec pro 3 snare? Drum-tec recommends a PD-125 pad setting for Roland TD modules so I think it should be.

Has anyone tried it?

Re: review of Drum-tec pro 14" snare and Edrumin

I have the metal shell, and it's triggering very well for me. As I was working with that pad, I found that the Real Feel mesh was preventing the hot spot suppression from working as good as it does on my Roland pads. I'm not promising that changing your head will solve the problem, but if you have ...

I have a Roland 3-cone pad. I don't think it's any better.
I'm very curious: how is it not better? Do you end up with 3 hotspots? Or less responsive because 3 sensors are being "averaged"?

Re: review of Drum-tec pro 14" snare and Edrumin

I know this is an ancient thread, but hoping that I can get a preset for the wood shell drum-tec snare. Mine is still a bit hot spotty and I'd like to see settings that are working for others. I've got mine (drum-tec pro 14" wood shell black) working pretty good but still have a bit of hotspot...

The new drum-tec multi-sensor snare seems to attempt to be an analog equivalent to Roland's digital snare.

I would think that it would work with edrumin and still provide positional sensing.

Has anyone tried it yet?

I think this is written into some vst's for people who don't have access to a kit. It's easier to play it than it is to program it
Yeah, I think "snare roll" samples were for keyboard players--its a little tricky to do a buzz roll on keyboard! I'm not using it for rolls on a kit.

Re: feature idea: trigger snare rolls

Why not do it physically? Stick bounce on some beats is quite often played. Bread and butter of stick handling. Can do it physically but edrumin doesn't track it: This is different from stick bounce used for ghost notes, etc. It simulates that tiny stick bounce/head interaction when it goes below t...

feature idea: trigger snare rolls

Steven Slate Drums has "snare rolls" samples which sound like when a stick bounce fizzles out and dies--that little bit of snare buzz that happens. I wrote a little plugin that listens for snare hits at velocity 1 and then rather than sending a "snare hit" note, sends a "sna...
