For me it was. Able to get reported ASIO lag under 1ms out and 1.5 ms in with 128 buffers at 96K. Also includes direct monitoring on inputs using total mix. Not cheap to go MADI.

If you have a spare input, can use headphone splitters to use two inputs and set up two drums inside eDRUMin.

Buy everything you can used. Be flexible and open to what is available for cheap. Especially the hardware/stands/pedals.

In general, it's called an insert cable. Stereo at one end, dual mono at the other. This assumes a MONO end will be in the drum and the drum is ok with that. That kind of cable is classically used to insert a compressor into a mixer channel.

My guess is this will be a future product. There are many software products on the market that are good at converting audio to MIDI.
If Audiofront did it, I bet it would work better than the others.
