I've replaced the cone but I don't experience a significant difference, neither in hot spotting, nor in the hotspot supression threshold meter picking up hits at a lower meshhead tension. Oh well, guess I'll just try to avoid hitting the dead center of this PD-120

Ok, so if I loosen the mesh head a lot it starts registering in the hotspot threshold meter. However, this is at a point where the drums are too lose for my playing preference. Does the age and wear of the trigger cone play any role in this?

I just recently got back into (e)drumming so I may have lost my reference on this. But I think it's relatively tight. I'll try loosening to see if anything will happen on the meter.
