Re: DIY: finally, 3-ply+hotspotless+positional sensing

How is the 3-ply head working out? I thought I read that Rob really only recommends 2-ply with the eDRUMin?

Hi Hat xtalk and other notes

I am having an issue with my Lemon 14" hi hat into SD3. When playing, especially fast. When releasing the hi hat pedal I get a cowbell sound. Now I have the cowbell set in two places, on the 2nd (rim) zone of my hi rack tom, and on a pad on an Alesis Sample Pad pro. I have messed with the xtalk...

Re: Snapshot loading and midi assingments

You should be saving/loading device snapshots not drum maps. You can save a device snapshot by opening the preset manager and then clicking on the icon for you device. OK, missed th4e part of clicking on the edrumin icon then creating and saving kits. I just created a new preset, thinking it saved ...

Snapshot loading and midi assingments

I am setting up a new SD3 preset and was hoping to have an ED snapshot I could save and load with new MIDI assignments. I saved out my current ED preset and created a duplicate, renamed it and started to change midi assignments. I tried re-loading the ALT preset I had saved to make sure it was savin...

Diamond Percussion drop in triggers?

Hey Rob! I tried to DM you and send a support ticket but they both seemed to bounce. Dave over at Diamond Percussion is willing to send me a trigger plate to try out. His note is: "Regular plates are set up for Roland module type sensitivity. Sonic balance is set for hot modules like mimic and ...

Re: Choke gone in Ableton

OK, so I turned off MPE and Track in the Ableton settings for the eDRUMin and got the choke working!
(not sure what track is for?)

Re: 14" 3-cone snare?

If you already have a donor for a 14" snare, Dave at Diamond Percussion has multiple piezo drop in, or fully built snares. Rob has the ATV and he likes it. Dave also has an eDRUMin, so he can tailor the build to the module. Both great products. I've been chatting with Dave, and although he has...

Re: Choke gone in Ableton

https://www.audiofront.net/eDRUMin_2.4.pdf#page=26 Ableton Live requires that the aftertouch messages arrive between the note on and note off event. So if you set the note length to 2s, you'll be able to choke the note within 2s of hitting the cymbal. So I set all my cymbals to 2 sec and still get ...
