Re: HXM Cymbal
Thanks. I was swapping cymbals with the cables plugged in. Maybe it was that.

Re: HXM Cymbal
Ok I am perplexed. I don’t get why, but it’s now working great. Here’s the sequence of what I did: 1. Switched to my lemon 3-zone ride (using a cable splitter so I can connect it to one jack on the ED10. Now AT/choke isn’t working on the Lemon cymbal (though it previously did), so I started to suspe...

Re: HXM Cymbal
What firmware version are you using? You are using a TRS cable? Are you able to trigger edge notes? 2.3.1.32 Yes, TRS. Yes, I can trigger edge notes, but not consistently. In fact none of the 3 notes (bow, edge, bell) are consistent. I have to hit the edge at just the right velocity. Just under a m...

Re: HXM Cymbal
Rob, I bought the cymbal. The choke isn’t working on it though, and I’m wondering if you might have any suggestions. I’ve tried all the different cymbal configurations and presets I can think of. When I grab the choke, the “AT” does not light up. It just triggers a succession of bow notes, and somet...

Re: Help with hi-hat closure
I ended up going back to the lemon HHC12 controller. The Hall effect sensor isn’t quite as smooth. It doesn’t seem to hit the entire range of motion, and the calibration line still bounces around a little.
For anyone interested.

Re: Finally Real E-Cymbals from Zildjian
a way to do it is there’s just one sensor on the cymbal, but a magnet on the drumstick, and a Hall effect sensor attached slightly above the center of the cymbal bell. The eDRUMin determines what midi notes to send based on the distance of the drum stick to the Hall effect sensor. So when you tap t...

Re: Finally Real E-Cymbals from Zildjian
We just need Rob to develop similar technology. 8-) I would LOVE to be able to use a low volume cymbal that isn’t dampened and can still ring out, yet is able to trigger VST drums. Maybe a way to do it is there’s just one sensor on the cymbal, but a magnet on the drumstick, and a Hall effect sensor ...

Re: Help with hi-hat closure
I honestly would buy another Hall effect sensor. I plan to build out a 2nd ED10 kit soon. Just looking for the right shells at the moment. My first kit is using a Hawk converted shell pack from edrumcenter, and they are awesome. Will likely go with them again. $129 per converted drum for their talon...
