Re: Finally Real E-Cymbals from Zildjian

a way to do it is there’s just one sensor on the cymbal, but a magnet on the drumstick, and a Hall effect sensor attached slightly above the center of the cymbal bell. The eDRUMin determines what midi notes to send based on the distance of the drum stick to the Hall effect sensor. So when you tap t...

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.1 BETA

Quick update. This may be nothing but I found it odd and thought I should pass it on. After down grading the firmware the cymbals stayed in a choked state. I though maybe I need to power cycle the ED4 so I did that. Still they were in a choked state. I physically held the choke strip for a few seco...

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.1 BETA

Thanks. I'm going to wait to hear from some other to see if they are still having issues with the latest build. I think the problem if not solved is definitely improved a lot with the latest version. Btw I'm wondering why you're thinking my cymbals have a mechanical issue, they don't seem to have a...

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.1 BETA

I've tested all my cymbals--even attaching clothes pins to them to simulate a worn out switches, but I'm still unable to reproduce the choking issue. That said, I've posted build 25 with a small change that would help out in a situation where the edge is triggered, but the switch (for whatever mech...

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.1 BETA

the way the unwanted chocking happens with Lemon 18in cymbals is works fine for a few hits, then it chokes itself and it doesn't release until I touch the choke strip on the rim and that makes the cymbal work again for a few hits until it starts choking again etc... I have a video if interested but ...

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.1 BETA

For those Lemon users experiencing choke issues, does the choke get stuck in an on state such that every hit is choked, or is the problem that the occasional hit gets choked? with the previous version I tested every hit was choked or at least it was almost every hit. With this version is kinda hit ...

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.1 BETA

had choke issues on 23 as well with my Lemon 18" 3 way ride. Reverted to 20. That's strange, I didn't have a single problem with the same. Maybe the process of resetting once is what actually made things work? Eh actually scratch that, I played more and seeing the same. It’s not as easy to tri...
