Re: DIY: finally, 3-ply+hotspotless+positional sensing
Hi, thanks for the update. The snare from the link looks really great! I hope it works also with 3 ply. I am not sure if it makes sense to diy when the ready product is ready for sale? Also I'm not sure if it's ok to post some reverse engineered stuff invented by somebody else. Although I am very cu...

Re: DIY: finally, 3-ply+hotspotless+positional sensing
If I understand correctly you do not have now any center trigger.
In this case there's a recently added option in edrumin for ad-s13, which does not have center trigger.
This is just a reminder to try this one in case of issues.

Re: DIY: finally, 3-ply+hotspotless+positional sensing
Great! Really good news! Do you notice any difference when changing polarization of the center piezo (Aka Wayne's build)? It's something I would consider already using as my main snare, even though I'm just getting started.

This is also my feeling.I don't think it would be necessary to have independently adjustable platforms unless your drum itself was uneven
As Trigmann produced the (complicated) hardware only, I don't think the lack of his cooperation should stop you.

Re: DIY: finally, 3-ply+hotspotless+positional sensing
From the user manual:
If using a stereo pad, an additional control is available by clicking on the ‘T’ to change it to ‘R’. ‘R’ is for ring, and this control uses information from the ring piezo to improve stability of off center hits

Re: DIY: finally, 3-ply+hotspotless+positional sensing
Additionally I ordered some very thin double sided adhesive tape Well, you may use it and check, but do you remember my answer? Double sided foam dots. About 1mm thick, ceramic size. Same in both places. ... the 1mm thick may be important for the piezo to have some space for vibration. If you stick...
