Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.2 BETA now available

Thanks as always for your hard work Rob. I'm hoping to get a chance to try this version soon (2.3.1.35 has been working brilliantly for me, but curiosity will get the better sooner or later)...

Out of interest, what are the sorts of issues/uses independent gain control for TIP and RING help with?

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.1 BETA

Hi Rob. Tried .22 today. Was OK for a minute or so then ride and crash would only trigger choke. Tried .20 instead and didn't have the issue.

Choke has always worked pretty well on my ATVs.

Re: Feature request to completely disable side-stick detection/triggering

ah ok, having seen the dw causing issues i was somewhat assuming the roland would behave similarly, although I think it was down to technique preference/style - palm well and truly planted on the head versus lightly resting/hovering etc.

Re: Feature request to completely disable side-stick detection/triggering

Hi FG. Changing the velocity curve doesn't really help, the issue is that there's a certain amount of force needed to trigger sidestick (edge mode) on the bt1 so you lose detection of softer hits. It's more of a feel thing. As rob mentioned for the atv snare, some clever filtering perhaps in additio...

Re: Feature request to completely disable side-stick detection/triggering

Thanks Rob - no expectations here, but appreciate you giving it some consideration for a future feature.

[Edited]
Looking around I think Efnote and Gewa take the same approach as ATV for sidestick so it might benefit other users. If you decide to pursue it then happy to test.

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.1 BETA

    yep that's it! Do a lot of heel up pedalling so it's usually fairly low, but as you say it needs adjusting for the new mode  thanks

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.1 BETA

I'm pretty sure it is working, but maybe it could be working better. You have your pedal's travel control set properly? Yes I think so. A couple of videos for comparison in case it helps. This was 3 x 5 fairly quick pedals in succession then 4 or 5 slow. One video in stand mode and one in pedal mod...

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.1 BETA

Wow! Had a closer look at SteadyHats finally - it's such a brilliant feature. Makes it so much easier to control open hats triggering, nice one Rob!!

I don't know if it's deliberate but in Stand mode xTalk doesn't seem to be working to filter out HH triggering on the pedal. Pedal mode is fine.

Re: Feature request to completely disable side-stick detection/triggering

[Edited...] I think I understand now (+RTFM!) - so xtalk mode is essentially 'edge' hit detection only and this is 'as design' by Roland with no sensitivity adjustment possible? As far as I can tell, it's taking vel > ~80 to register a hit (in the screenshot there's a hit on the left (probably about...
