Re: Roland CY-13RC and CY-12C cymbals
Agree - if there is no signal, then looks like the cymbal is broken/partially working. I’ve had these cymbals for some time, but I went back to guitar for a while. I am just a hobbyist, so I’m disappointed all 3 cymbals are only partially working. I thought Roland cymbals would be a lot more durable...

Re: Roland CY-13RC and CY-12C cymbals
I tried using the multimeter with 2K Ohms resistance. First, I tested the cable was good. Then I plugged on end into the cymbal and see if I could see anything on the multimeter. I tested both R&S as well as T&S. No signal. I then spent some more time trying to configure the cymbal. Here's w...

Re: Roland CY-13RC and CY-12C cymbals
Yes, these are TRS cables. I tested them using a multimeter with a 2K Ohm setting.
When I pinch either of the cymbals, the Choke does NOT light up.
Thanks for troubleshooting!

Re: Roland CY-13RC and CY-12C cymbals
I believe these are the Default settings. I may have changed the MIDI notes and run Calibrate.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Roland CY-13RC and CY-12C cymbals
Enclosed are the screenshots of the MIDI monitor for the cymbals.
For the 12C, I only ever get one MIDI note, regardless of where I hit.
On the 13RC, if I hit extremely hard near the bell, I can occasionally get a second note, but its very hard to do.
Thanks!

Roland CY-13RC and CY-12C cymbals
Hello Its been some time since I played my kit and I decided to do a teardown and rebuild. I setup my pads and hi-hat -- no problem! I have SD3 on my Mac Laptop and signals are coming and playing. I have some fine-tuning I want to do, but that's to be expected. However, I am having a heck of a time ...

Re: Drum Map problem
A brief follow-up: I went ahead and purchased Superior Drummer 3 and thanks to all the good info/help, I have EDrumin working correctly! Also, I know understand how the Pedal (CC4) + HiHat are used to determine Open vs. Closed and generate the right sound / MIDI. I also want to use Melodics, which e...

Re: Drum Map problem
I'm one of these people. I got rid of my Roland (TD-9) module within a week of getting my eDrumIn. I still love my Roland hardware, but their modules and their sounds? Junk. Always hated it. I've never owned EZDrummer, but I've used Superior Drummer since version 2. Thank you for the feedback! Yes,...

Re: Drum Map problem
Hello, My goal is to drop my drum module altogether and have EDrumin + Drum Software. I have a Roland TD17 kit. I started by running all the pads, cymbals and hi-hats through EDrumin and connected them to my Roland Module via USB. Worked! The next step is to replace the module. I downloaded the EZDr...
