You are mistaken. eDRUMin plays very well with 2-ply.
It also plays very well with 3-ply mesh!

If you want to record authentic brush performance, I suggest an acoustic snare with real brushes.
Hell yeah! If I ever need to do a brush track I’d do it home on my real kit with the EAD10 and a pair of room mics.

Re: Unofficially supported devices

Thanks so much for the info, now I just hope the 8 input version is available soon like the site says. I have 7 inputs counting the high-hat pedal. the 4 input would get me started but ultimately I need at least 6 inputs plus pedal. I'm looking forward to picking one of these up. I took the plunge ...

Re: Unofficially supported devices

Can I use this module with my Donner heads? The Donner looks like a standard generic Chinese build (the manufacturer Medelli springs to mind). These should calibrate easily with the eDRUMin. Just apply the correct pad-type (single zone/dual zone/side-mount/centre-mount) and you’ll be able to get th...

Re: buggy BOW / BELL performance from a 3-zone Roland CY-13R cymbal pad

I haven't a clue how the Roland cymbals wear over time apart from the rubber 'dust' on the edge building up. I guess it must be a switch problem then for me. Anyway, the GEWA 18" has just arrived so I'll have to see how that works under the Yamaha pad setting.

Re: buggy BOW / BELL performance from a 3-zone Roland CY-13R cymbal pad

I'm sure it works for any 2-cabled 3-zone cymbal pad. Just test build 14 and you'll see that the issue is gone. I could only get v.16 of the beta and unfortunately, the random bell-trigger on the edge is still a problem. I guess my CY-15R is old and the switches don’t work as accurately any more. I...

Re: buggy BOW / BELL performance from a 3-zone Roland CY-13R cymbal pad

So that be the same problem I’m having with the CY-15R. I can’t imagine the fix for a 13” pad would necessarily work with a 15”.

Re: Unofficially supported devices

How do you like the Drone optical hi hat controller? I love it! After coming from the dated mechanical Roland VH-11 ‘plunger’, it was incredible to be able to send 127 reliable CC notes to a VST. I originally started using it passing through a TD-20 to Addictive Drums 2. No more missing CC notes in...

Re: buggy BOW / BELL performance from a 3-zone Roland CY-13R cymbal pad

What baffles me here is the fact that there are now (and already have been since two or more years) a large number of eDRUMin users; of which surely many also have a 3-zone cymbal pad (like CY-13R) with a 2-cable system running. Can it really be that none of them noticed within at least almost a ye...
