I use 4 toms and a double pedal on a single kick.
I'm not using the TD-30 as audio interface, but a Zoom UAC-2.
I also have a Focusrite Scarlet solo that I use for guitar tracking...

Thanks for all your replies :) I'm currently running SD3 in Windows 7 on a powerful older Asus G74 16gb laptop in my mancave studio and it works fine, but as I have no use for the Roland TD30's internal sounds and since the module still sells for a good price, I'm really considering the eDRUMin 10.....
