Re: drum-tec V3 Hotspotless Snare?
Hello, I have just bought a Drum-Tec Diabolo 3 snare with the 3 cones. It's actually very good. Especially for the special price they are now offering on the new models. I tested the combination of edrumin 8 and EZdrummer3. No hotspot, the positional sensing works perfectly. I still have to work on...

Re: Newbie with a specific Use Case regarding midi and Alesis
I use edrum in parallel with a Nitro Mesh kit. Both devices are connected via USB to my pc and I use various drum VSTs hosted by my DAW. The Nitro unit won't pass through midi from the edrum, it also won't accept incoming midi to trigger its internal sounds if its USB is connected to the pc. Presum...

Re: You asked for it
It really depends on the module, but you are correct in saying that MIDI flows both in and out of devices connected to the host port. Well, according to my tests, my module can do it. At least on reaper I can send notes through midi out to the Alesis module on at least two channels (1 & 10, pia...

Re: You asked for it
No, you will not. But the MIDI from the ED10 and any connected ED4 will be piped to the Multi-12, so you'll be able to trigger sounds. So, if I understand this correctly, the usb midi port can be used both for in and out? As, for example, if I connect a drum module that is usb midi compliant into t...

I'm doing exactly that, thanks!perceval wrote:But I have zero experience with Alesis modules, so, maybe you could try to ask on an Alesis forum if the Nitro does allow MIDI passthru.

Re: Newbie with a specific Use Case regarding midi and Alesis
You could plug in the eDRUMin into the MIDI in of your module. Connect module's USB or MIDI to computer/audio interface. Then, use the Banks as different setups, one for module sounds with no positional sensing, and one for SD3, just make sure the module is on PassThru for the MIDI messages. Thanks...

Newbie with a specific Use Case regarding midi and Alesis
Hi y’all I become very interested in the eDRUMin but have some questions as to if it would work in my setup. My setup is and Alesis Nitro drum set with a PDX-100 for a snare, a CY5 as a Hit Hat and a CY13r as a ride. I use it for two, let’s called them modes, PRACTISE and PERFORMANCE: - PRACTISE is ...
