Re: Center piezos, no detection of the ring

Hello,

Thanks for your help !

I replace the rim piezo by a new one, and triple check the wiring (the Roland style)... still have the problem. Are you sure that the diagram in your pdf is good ? This is strange that the wire of the center side of the head piezo is black, not red.

Center piezos, no detection of the ring

Hello ! I've made a dual piezo system with a center piezo on a center bar (small piezo) and an other piezo (35mm) for the rim. I followed the wiring diagram (Roland style) founded in the user manual of the edrumin (I have two little edrumin 4). With stereo output Jack and stereo câble. The hit detec...

Re: eDRUMin 1.2 BETA is now available

Hi, A nice future visual feature may be the possibility to rename pads and cymbals. Like in this image: https://www.dropbox.com/s/khbzbg6uv1bekfv/edrumin%20rename.png?dl=0 But with a better design ;-) Concerning issue with choke, I had it a several times with my 2 PCY155. But I didn't try yet the ne...

Re: edrumin with Abbey Road Drummer (Kontakt 5)

Yes, but I can put any note I want it changes nothing, because in Kontakt I have to choose the hihat articulation "open control" for tip and for edge. Like said in the video, to have the pedal working.
I think it's an Abbey Road mapping Issue.

Re: edrumin with Abbey Road Drummer (Kontakt 5)

Check out the following video. Skip ahead to 4:50. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4O-YLef_6hQ Thank you for this video, it helps a lot ! It is still not perfect because when I close the Hihat pedal, it sounds like a "medium opened sound", not really closed hihat. Closed sounds, and tight...

Re: edrumin with Abbey Road Drummer (Kontakt 5)

The firmware is up to date (1.0.4.3).
I plugged the crash + floor tom in the 4th input of the edrumin... and it works.

Re: edrumin with Abbey Road Drummer (Kontakt 5)

Hi, Input 3: I selected Dual MONO input: - Left: Millenium stereo crash 14". I selected "Dual zone cymbal". - Right: Floor tom mesh head side piezo. I selected "Mesh side piezo". I don't know if you can see the pictures at the end of my first post? I tested something: I rewi...

Re: edrumin with Abbey Road Drummer (Kontakt 5)

Hi,

Any idea about the way to make the Roland hihat VH-10 working well ?

I fixed the latency issue in Cubase by pressing the "compensation delay" button, on top left of the sequencer window.

Thanks in advance

Re: edrumin with Abbey Road Drummer (Kontakt 5)

Hello Rob, Thanks for your answers. On input 3, I have a stereo cymbal TRS jack + a simple tom piezo TS Jack. For the mapping of abbey road drummer, you can find it in the manuals. Here is the 60s drummer, page 24 and 25: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.n...
