at the moment we have two Mac ARM with usb 3 and the problem is the same. We have to put it on a hub with external alimentation. ( and a lot of cable
We have no problem on the 5 mac with USB2 !
I will check other Mac and return to you

Hello, I don't see any topics about the recognition of The midiexpression Black plugged in an usb C. I am on Apple M1 ARM OS 12.7.4. It's necessary to put a hub with external power so that the device it's recognised by the system. Someone as the same problem ? It's work great on Mac Intel with USB 2...
