it's been a while. This might be a stupid question but nevertheless: Is it possible to connect 2 Roland BT-1 instead of a 2-button-footswitch in the pedal input of a eDRUMin 10? I'd prefer to send a CC message by hitting a pad instead of pressing a footswitch.

No, they are likely both fine. Like pim said, it means that there's a connection issue between the Ring and the Sleeve of your TRS jack.
