Re: Suggested hihat controller/pads/pedal for realism?

A Roland VH-13 is considered one of the best. A less expensive alternative is the Lemon hi-hat. DIY solution is to buy a Hall Effect sensor here from AudioFront and mount a small neodymium magnet on the bottom of a hi-hat pedal and use a Yamaha PCY-135 as the cymbal itself. I think Superior Drummer ...

Re: Rotary Encoder question

I figured out why the cable was mislabeled. For splash or china cymbals I used single zone so two cymbals can go into one ED10 input. I got confused with tip and ring input on the splitter and ended up mislabeling the cable.

Re: Rotary Encoder question

Hi Rob,

It was the cable, when first testing I chose an unused TRS from the bundle that goes out to the kit labeled Crash1 on both ends but it's clearly mislabeled as a direct 5' TRS/TRS works fine.

Thanks for your help.

Rotary Encoder question

Hi Rob, I received the rotary encoder. I plugged it in with a TRS cable into the pedal 2 input which has been working fine with a pair of momentary pedals connected via a TRS male to dual female TS inputs adapter cable. I'm on 2.32.2 The ED10 isn't detecting the rotary encoder. I tried auto first an...

Re: The one setting in Superior 3 that changed everything for me...

12. It's great. No complaints. Works perfect with the unit and Superior now All the reviews I've read are for the 12". Can't see why the 14" would be different but have learned to not make assumptions so hopefully someone will review it. The PCY-135 is playing quite well with the latest e...

Re: The one setting in Superior 3 that changed everything for me...

I'm thinking about replacing my PCY-135 with a lemon two piece hi-hat. Did you get the Lemon 12" or 14" hi-hat kit?

EDIT - on further research I see people in forum posts requesting a 14" version - it appears that might be a recent product release

Re: Sticks matter!

I've been using, on recommendation from Alan VEX of the vdrums forum, the Buddy Rich Signature Drumsticks, Modified 5A Stick, 16-5/16" Length, and 0.590" Diameter. Wood tip but haven't noticed extra wear on my Billy Blast 3ply mesh heads.
