ED10 have enough inputs for your setup. You can use a splitter to plug the kick with the second ride input if needed. This way you'll even have one input left for your futur second crash or china. I don't have a problem with hotspots. My problem is that the velocity is uneven across the drum when hit with constant strength. That's a hotspot... That's not my definition of hotspot.
