Hiya,
I got my ED4 yesterday (ordered over Xmas) and am SO incredibly happy with it.
It has taken any pad I have thrown at it so far and it has completely sorted out my snare, made it sounds WAAAY more natural and also took a super cheap millenium hi hat on a stand.
Anyway, I just wanted to take a moment to thank whoever designed and produced this product!
Not sure if it’s ROB on here who makes and designs or if he’s just a mod on here but either way. THANKYOU!
Thanks for spending your own time figuring this stuff out. It can’t have been a walk in the park but WOW! What a product!
It amazes me that either:
A) more companies arnt doing a similar thing but with it all bundled into one touch screen device (bit like the mimic pro)
OR
B) You havnt Been forced to sell up to a bigger shark company!
Either way, well done, Thankyou so much and I will be ordering an ED10 AS SOON AS IM PAID ON MONDAY!
I’m not a super crazy, I just believe in thanking people that have helped you and it’s pretty much impossible to get the CEO of Alesis or even a good drum company like Roland, on the phone to thank them.
That’s what I also like a lot about jobeky!
It seems the smaller, independent E-drum companies do much higher quality, versatile and by far cheaper products than the big ones. in my opinion and experience anyway.
Before I got the ED4 I was having to raise the hi hat on a stand up, swing the pedal out the way and bung the alesis DM10 pedal underneath. It made it a little more like playing a moving hi hat but obviously it didn’t move. Figuring it out with the ED4 was SO easy and it’s AMAZING how much of a difference it makes whilst playing. Both in terms of actual usablility of the chick and splash but also just in terms of feel. It feels so much more like an acoustic kit now I have separated out my rack into two side racks…
It’s VERY messy but I’ll show u a quick pic of what I been working on. It’s slightly tidier now iv got further into the process! (BAH! ok I won’t include an image as it’s ‘too big’. Oh well.
The point is. THANKYOU!
I’m sure others are as, if not more greatfull than me!
Im glad I am in the Audiofront crew! Haha
Thankyou, whoever made this incredible product!

You're welcome. I'm one man show with occasional help from my wife and a lot of help from the great community here in the forums.

+1 for Rob's genius - I went from barely playable on my MegaDrum to out of the box success with the eDRUMin 4 (now E10) using the same pads, pedals and cymbalsRabidreject wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 7:23 pmYou, sir, are insanely clever in that case! +1, I would like to add, I am a software dev that dabbles in hardware (play with IOT devices) and I can count on one finger the number of hardware/software products that work together so well together. Usually you have great hardware with crappy software or crappy hardware with great software, or of course both are crappy and barely any listen to the community that wants to support them.dsteinschneider wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 7:43 pm+1 for Rob's genius - I went from barely playable on my MegaDrum to out of the box success with the eDRUMin 4 (now E10) using the same pads, pedals and cymbalsRabidreject wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 7:23 pmYou, sir, are insanely clever in that case! Rob you have managed to build a product that covers hardware, software and community, congratulations.
Being a one man team though, I would request that you organise a backup plan for us (your loyal community) in case, say you win the lottery and move to the Cayman islands.

Funnily enough I thought about that when I bought, it being such a niche product but I came to the conclusion even if there wasn’t another update it has so much more customisation options than any other trigger interface I have ever seen so yeh
That’s half of what I Love about it is the fact it is only the trigger settings and the rest is a seperate program. It allowed me to be able to split the cost of a very decent drum module into two payments- the edrumin and the VST.
Anyway yeh, i was surprised no one else had thanked you so there you go. Im not a total looney

Exactly, I came here right before the kick-off of the eDRUMin because I needed something like the MIDI Expression, which is a fantastic product, as-well. And, well, I saw the anouncement and booom. I used a low priced Alesis like module and wanted to extend my kit and since I used EZDrummer2 I did not need the poor sounds of expensive modules.Rabidreject wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 2:20 pmFunnily enough I thought about that when I bought, it being such a niche product but I came to the conclusion even if there wasn’t another update it has so much more customisation options than any other trigger interface I have ever seen so yeh

The whole edrum, DAW, Toontrack, eDRUMin story, I really love that stuff. I could stay for days in my cave here and ...
Thank you, Rob! I really appreciate all your efforts! Your efforts and the guys here testing the beta versions and giving feedback!
I cannot deal with this. Sorry.
