eDrumin10 and eDrumin8 linked together. Cymbals are DIY and defined as Metal- piezo/switch. Crash Cymbals are dual Zone ; Ride is 3 zone.
I'm using Addictive Drums and Kontakt. Trying out Kontakt just for the cymbals. I was having problems with chokes. Read the eDrumin manual about Choking. Appears that for the Crashes does not like Cymbal Choke -> AfterTouch, so determined that i needed to switch to Cymbal Choke -> AfterTouch + note.
Question:
1. For the Ride Cymbal, the only option is Cymbal Choke -> AfterTouch? This also has to be Cymbal Choke -> AfterTouch + note to work. Doesn't seem that i cannot change Kontakt.
Note ON - Poly AfterTouch ?
Re: Note ON - Poly AfterTouch ?
eDRUMin has a Kontakt Abbey Road drum map and that uses aftertouch, so I assume either Kontakt does indeed support aftertouch, or perhaps there's a mistake with the drum map.
Which then leads me to wonder if you are sure your cymbals are sending aftertouch at all. When you pinch your cymbal, do you see the 'AT' note control in the bottom right part of the UI briefly light up?

Re: Note ON - Poly AfterTouch ?
It looks like you are using an order version on the control application which might not have it.
Re: Note ON - Poly AfterTouch ?
Oooooo update and give it a try. Thankx Rob
Re: Note ON - Poly AfterTouch ?
Hi Rob, Yeah so i have the presets.
Abbey road didn't help any. Not getting any GGD support to answer my question, so I surmise Aftertouch is not supported. Oh well, works great with AD2.
thankx for your help

Re: Note ON - Poly AfterTouch ?
I read in a post on vDrums that the choke notes are C-2 to E-2 (0 - 4). If you can figure out which is which, then I'll change the Abbey Road Drum map to use those.
Re: Note ON - Poly AfterTouch ?
I just found them listed in the manual. I'll update the drum map.
Re: Note ON - Poly AfterTouch ?
So I went to update the drum map, but apparently those choke notes are already use, but there's a bug that preventing the choke notes from being used. I'll fix it today or tomorrow and attach an updated map to this thread.
Re: Note ON - Poly AfterTouch ?
See if this works.
