Linking HiHat on split input

I am not sure if this is a feature or a bug, but when hihat is on split input, linking will change both icons to hihat, and it seems the cancellation is applied as well. Is there any way around this, or should hihat be on dedicated input?

It's more of a limitation, leaning towards a bug. How about I change it so it only links to the tip connection?

That sounds great.

Forcing it on tip or ring when input is split does not matter, you can always switch cables. It won't cover 2hhs on split input with 2 pedals, but that sounds quite extreme.
