Hi Hat Pedal Linking Question

Hi all, I've got the edrumin 10 setup with my Roland VH-13 and hi hat pedal linked and all, and everything seems to be working ok (still need to do some tweaking), but what I used to do with the Roland TD-30 module was also have a BT-1 trigger bar set as the same hi hat instrument (I like to have a closer trigger for my off hand for the hi hats).
This worked perfectly with the TD-30, and all hits to the BT-1 would work with the hi hat pedal as if I were striking the VH-13 cymbals. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this with the edrumin (unable to link two triggers to the one hi hat controller). I know this is probably not something that anyone else wants, but was hoping it could be added. Other idea I had was what if I used a 1/4" TRSF to dual 1/4" TRS cable, and had the hi hat pedal controller plugged into two pedal ports on the edrumin? That way I could link two different triggers to it, but not sure how the software/firmware would handle it.
Thanks in advance for any help!
