Howdy,
I've got left and right cymbals working fine with the choke as well.
I've done calibration on the hi-hat and ride cymbal and keep getting slight double triggering, does this mean I would need some rubber cymbal trim? Is that due to vibration?
Also, does anyone know the best way to get bow and bell working with one trigger? The Magnatrack triggers are Piezo. I've tried placing the trigger on the slope of the bell and on the actual bow part or do I need two triggers - one on the bow and one on the edge? I've also tried that with the dual mono input option and both trigger instead of just the one I need; I'd like to trigger the bell only when I need to.
The calibration function does help alot with setup, but I need to iron out a few more kinks.
Thanks!

Not using magnatrack triggers but I couldn't get my LV hit hats (I had rubber rims) to trigger to my liking and ultimately switched to Roland VH-13s. It seemed to me that it was the vibrations that caused it.
If the top hat was too tight, too many vibrations, if too loose it would hit the bottom hat and also mistrigger. I was able to adjust the settings (threshhold etc..) to not cause double triggering but I lost almost all dynamics. I'd stick with a good set of rubber hi hats.
Just my experience with metal hats.

They (Magnatrack) suggested adding cymbal trim as well to minimize vibration which I'm also curious to know how effective that would be.

Don't know about magnatrack triggers, it might help but for my Diamond Electronic Drums triggers (same as Jobeky as far as I know) it didn't help. Metal ride and crashes work fine, I just could never dial in the metal hats the way I liked. They worked fine closed, but as soon as I opened them up that's when all the triggering problems occured. I just setup Roland hats as primary and am using the metal hats as closed auxiliary hi hats.

You probably just need to relax the DECAY control a bit. Have you watched this video?beelzebozo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 1:22 amI've done calibration on the hi-hat and ride cymbal and keep getting slight double triggering, does this mean I would need some rubber cymbal trim? @Rob
Thanks for linking the video, it helped explain the settings in a clear way. I've pretty much eliminated the vibration triggering from the hi-hat and ride by setting the THRESH a little above the noise wave, set SCAN about 2.5 ms and played with the HOLD around 15-20 ms and the DECAY and VELOCITY curves. Much happier now!

Ah yes, I did have one more question - Why would the Metal 3-Zone Cymbal option be disabled? Is it because it's not a Piezo option?
Re: Any Tips For Magnatrack Triggers with L80 Cymbals
It requires 2 inputs, so you would need to use it on inputs 1,3,5,7, or 9.

Re: Any Tips For Magnatrack Triggers with L80 Cymbals
Hi Rob,
On my ride, I have per Magnatrack's guide, set one of their Piezo triggers on the ride bell and one on the bow and connected the cables per the eDRUMIN manual. When I hit the bell trigger or near it, it triggers the bow. Any tips on how to get that dialed in? This is the last thing I need to figure out for my setup.
Thanks.
